It's clearly a mistake and one of the moderators acknowledged that, spending a lot of their time to answer several people.I see the tone in the moderation was not okay, it sounds moralistic, but one moderator also mentioned about this being a learning process, which, in fact, is. Anyone who has ever moderate an online community knows how difficult it can be. And any one who has being mistakenly moderated will definitely feel upset or angry.From a general perspective, I wish this case can serve for us, as a collective in the Fediverse, think how to avoid such cases if malicious actors begin to falsely report misinformation, which can cause lots of unnecessary work for the moderators.
